Every year, in collaboration with TED University Library, the toys dreamed of by children in village schools are placed on our New Year tree. University students, academics, alumni, and volunteers adopt children’s wishes and contribute not only toys but also stationery, boots, coats, and essential materials.
Over the five years of the project, we reached children in 23 village schools across Bolu, Tokat, Sivas, Kayseri, Adana, Gaziantep, Kahramanmaraş, Malatya, and Adıyaman.
Little Wishes Tree is not only a project where gifts are delivered. During each school visit, our volunteers come together with children through art, board games, science, and group activities; they play together, share new experiences, and create unforgettable memories.
This quality time spent with children is one of the most valuable parts of the project. For the last two years, we have prioritized reaching children in earthquake-affected regions, sharing the hope and solidarity of the New Year while supporting children socially, emotionally, and developmentally.
Little Wishes Tree is not merely an aid project that meets needs; it is a solidarity movement that helps children feel valued, strengthens their hopes, and gives them unforgettable experiences through the bonds they form with volunteers. Thanks to our growing volunteer network, we continue reaching more children and welcoming the New Year together with hope.
